You are like the wind
Closing your eyes at twilight
I wonder what you are thinking
You opened your eyelids
Your eyes, like clear glass
There was a faint scent of the clearing sky
Clear up, clear up—flowers, bloom
Bloom; it’s the doing of the clearing sky
When the rain stops, even the rain itself
Becomes the clearing sky that adorns you
Sound that strikes the heart—be still
We are the wind of the clearing sky
Go beyond those clouds
Far away, to somewhere even further
You take on the look of fair weather
Closing your eyes—a shade of blue
I wonder what makes you sad
You are opening your eyelids
In your eyes, like clear glass
Now, there was a faint scent of rain
Cry, cry—sky, weep
Weep; it’s the doing of the rain
Even the pouring rain
Is a clearing sky above the clouds
Sound that strikes the earth—resonate
We are the wild winds of spring
Going beyond that sea
Far away, to somewhere even further
A passing shower sways the grass
Mackerel clouds—that, too, is the doing of spring
Like the wind, carrying spring in our hearts
Waiting for the clearing sky
Clear up, clear up—sky, tear open
Tear open; it’s the doing of spring
When the rain stops, even the rain itself
Becomes the clearing sky that adorns you
Playing the sound that strikes the heart
We are the spring breeze
The wind of the clearing sky we’ve heard of
Come now, song—be still!
Clear up, clear up—flowers, bloom
Bloom; it’s the doing of spring
Go beyond those clouds
Far away, to somewhere even further
